Madison Village and the surrounding Grand River Valley Wine Region
Madison Village:
Nestled among acres and acres of vineyards and nurseries in the heart of Ohio Wine Country. Madison offers a unique combination of peaceful country living and easy access to the finest cultural experiences on the north coast.
His Majesty's Bed & Breakfast is on land originally purchased in 1823 by John Kellogg, who passed it down to his daughter. The present home was built in 1861 by Dr. Nathaniel Holbrook, who married Mary Kellogg.
At His Majesty's Bed & Breakfast, every season offers a unique experience. In the winter, enjoy the warmth of the gas logs while watching the snow fall; in the fall, witness the magic colors of autumn; and in the spring and summer, relax on the front porch, stroll in our private garden, or walk through the village square.
Madison Village is located on the eastern edge of Lake County, just minutes from Ashtabula County.
The Grand River Valley Wine Region
The Grand River Valley region is situated along the shores of Lake Erie in the counties of Lake, Ashtabula and Geauga in Northeast Ohio. The region is home to over 30 wineries offering a large selection of cool climate wines; Riesling, Chardonnay, Cab Franc and Chambourcin (just to name a few).
Each winery has their own unique style and atmosphere, ranging from small boutique wineries to large estate wineries. However, guests are often greeted by the owners and treated as family, no matter the size of the winery. Events at the wineries are too numerous to list. Just some examples of events are live music, wine pairing events, flea markets and music festivals. There are also numerous wine trails each year, focusing on a different season or holiday.
We would be happy to help with recommendations on wineries and events in the area.

The area is also home to beautiful Metro Parks where guests can walk near the lake, hike, picnic and view waterfalls.
